It reminds me when anti-aliasing came out. That just massacred frames when it came out people where calling the same thing. Not worth the trouble. It did become standard. Same thing with RT. Give it time.

Kinda amusing that anti aliasing isn't really worth the performance hit has you get to larger and larger resolutions

Well, yeah, it is obvious that once it no longer affects performance it will become more used. As of right now and for the near future RT will not be worth it unless you sink massive money into top end parts.

I will give it time, but I've decided that it's not worth my money until it's acceptable. Also I usually turn off anti aliasing because it also hurts frames and takes hardware resources that could ironically be used to prevent aliasing.
