I don’t think that would happen, that ship have sailed. The only manufacturer that brought back “features “ that I know of is Sony with the headphone and wireless charging. I hate the on screen fingerprint technology, even though it’s much better on my 6a compared to any of my Samsung phones (S22U,S21U and Note 10)

That’s fine I’ll just buy androids that actually have the fingerprint scanner, it was a step backwards in the wrong direction when so many companies decided to move from fingerprints into facial recognition because they wanted those analytics when in reality the most streamlined form of unlocking my phone was the one where I literally just placed my finger on my phone in the right area while it was still coming out of my pocket, and by the time I had it in front of my face it was unlocked. The absurdity of forcing facial recognition down everybody’s throats has always annoyed me since I owned the pixel one and was delighted by that feature.

Also dislike the facial recognition, but like the under screen reader. Upgraded from the pixel 4a to get it. Even after owning it for a long time, the natural way I hold the phone never put my finger near the reader and it was annoying to find every time. I get much fewer rejected scans with the on screen one on the 6a.
