I mean in the US I wouldn’t say it’s super widespread either. Most people just use whatever chrome OS comes on their TV.

Main reason to get one is the vastly better UI + responsiveness, proper HDR support, and sometimes better streaming quality.

I have two smart TVs and use an Apple TV on both of them for exactly those reasons.
