Never played hitman but start with Assassins Creed 2
So I might be remembering wrong but you can basically get all the Hitman games remastered if you buy the third game and buy the other ones as DLC
Will I be missing out on lore if I do so?
Is the DLC still available on ps4?
I’ve only played Black Flag, and honestly it just feels like worse Shadow of Mordor. Still, it’s on every platform, even Switch and is pretty cheap (it was < 20 when I got it), and from what I can tell, the newer games have moved towards RPG mechanics over assassinations, so 4 is a good a start as any
Just watch a couple youtube vids about hitman lore and play the >2010 games. Don't bother with assassin's creed.
It might be worth reading a synopsis of the AC1 plot to understand what is happening with the modern day storyline at the start of 2, but I wouldn’t play it first. AC1 is a fun game in its own way but it has a lot of weird repetitiveness in the way missions need to be completed that was streamlined in later games. Personally I played AC: Black Flag first as It was the newest when I started playing, then went back and started the series in order with AC1 and it was pretty jarring.
the lore sucks don't worry about it.
whenever you come across something about aliens and the Animus just block your ears
Play AC1 afterwards, the next two assassins creed after 2 are better if you know what happens in 1.
I mean it should be, still available for PC when I played the game a month ago
Start with a few extra controllers for the inevitable Ezio suicides, but definitely AC2 trilogy.
Watch synopsis for AC1 on YouTube then play Assassins creed 2.
They’ve all recently been consolidated into a single game, so you get all three games in one purchase.
I never got the appeal of assassins creed and I’ve played 4 of them. They’re just so boring

Start with AC 2 and then stop at origins. Odyssey and Valhalla aren’t worth it.
The Hitman World of Assassination trilogy is fantastic. For AC, I think Origins is a good start for the modern games. If you're up for decade-old design, then the Ezio trilogy is a classic.
What’s your tolerance for older graphics?
As long as it’s not all pixelated I’m mostly fine with it
Black flag is amazing and heavily recommended for the start. Then I recommend unity, syndicate, and origins.
Assassins creed pretty good to just start at the beginning then, no idea about hit an.
L take.
The lore is the best part. Ancient civilization who predicted the future to send a message to modern day via a message to a distant predecessor, with ancient societies battling over the relics they left behind and are behind some of the most momentous moments in history is cool.
Ya'll can cry about modern day segments but Unity and Syndicate are on nobodies top lists and they cut out the modern day stuff.
it's so shit i just wanna assassinate dudes
The recent Hitman games are soooo good. Playing all 3 with the upgrades that came with the third entry is such an amazing experience. I played through them all back-to-back a year or two ago and was 100% absorbed. I only wish there more of those sniper game mode maps from the second one.

I’ve played the first few AC’s. Found them somewhat repetitive until the pirate one (black flag?)
Edit: still fun tho; might be dated now
