It's the UI for me. The graphics are pretty clearly Skyrim, but the UI for the health/stamina/magicka bars and compass are different enough to trigger that "hold up" sense.

Adventurers arent known for their brains.

Thats a good amount of arrows to the head. Mount and Blade 1/2 have the most pin cushion moments in gaming I've seen.
