Hunt: Showdown, only having 30-40k players is a shame

Not AAA....

Also it isn't underatted it has a lot of good ratings and is very popular.

It averages like 15k active players which is a pretty good amount.

Any game with more than 1500 people you will find active lobbies EASILY. 15000 is even easier.

Not sure if they're classed as AAA but I'd consider the the Metro games (more specifically, 2033 and Last Light) to be underrated.

They're my all-time favourite games but I don't really see many people playing or talking about them. In my eyes, they are the best form linear story-driven FPS games since Half-Life 2 released!

Yeah these are great games, I think that unfortunately the FPS market is very competitive and tends to sway more towards multilayer.

Even for single player experiences, having to go against established games such as DOOM and Wolfenstein makes it that much harder.

Then if we are honest with ourselves, the first entry to Metro is not the most polished game, which I personally think adds to the charm a bit but it will be a huge put off when people are used to COD, DOOM, Wolfenstein etc

I totally agree. When I first played Metro 2033 I dropped it pretty much instantly as, like you say, I was more used to FPS campaigns at the time like CoD and Halo. It was only until I saw a friend playing through that I realised that FPS could be a great way on telling interactive stories. Picked the game back up and got hooked!
