I teach middle school and I'm getting hit pretty hard by The middle of the year.

Wife and I have a vacation coming up over the summer that's already paid for and I'm really debating getting myself the dual sense edge. Only thing is I feel my wife would kill me if I spent $200 on a contbullard but I really wanted and the Walmart down the road for me has like 10 in stock.

Curious if anyone has ever bought something to make themselves feel a little better

One side of me would say, buy it, open it fast and put next to all other accessories so she doesn't notice but other side would say don't get into an argument for a controller.

Edit, also you want to enjoy it so if hiding it would make it less enjoyable there's that.

If you think it will make you feel better go for it dude. Assuming it won't put you under pressure financially.

I think it's too much for a controller.

Better of saving more money and buying a PS VR2 or something. Or just buy 2 more new games.

Three questions. How nice is your couch? Can you outrun her? When was the most recent disagreement?

Edit, I would honestly have a discussion with her and ask if it’s alright to buy one. Explain your position and why you want it and discuss.

ehhhhh so here's my only thing right.

like i've been in your place, you buy something to make yourself feel better, but if its not worth the money now you feel worse that you spent X amount on thing that really didn't make you happy. 200 for a controller is pretty steep in my eyes. have you actually used someone elses to make sure you really really want it and can notice a difference?

I don't think the benefits of the controller are worth the price. There's a million other things you could buy for the the price that will give you that same feeling. Hell, you could buy a switch lite for that price.

Are you fucking up your home budget by buying it?

Yes? Don't do it.
The joy of having it might get overshadowed by the guilt of being irresponsible with money.

Otherwise, go for it. If you earned it, you earned it.

I feel like I would only buy it if you felt you a regular controller was not adequate but its your money, one controller or 6 games on sale

Why not go for less expensive alternatives that won't piss her off? Amazon has a lot of third party stuff like that. EasySMX has many options of controllers on amazon and their controllers are gold.
