Yeah, fuck those people with social anxiety who prefer to game alone, they shouldn't get to enjoy MMOS!

Jesus fuck some people.

Hot take: your idea is plain shit. Other people playing solo has literally no impact on your gameplay experience. This is simply a way to gatekeep people out of a game's content

Opposite.

Endgame should be more accessible for solo players. Raiding and premade PvP shouldn't be the avenue to the best gear.

Nah. I don’t wanna have to rely on MouthBreather9000 to finish game critical quests or story elements.

I don't have a group of friends to play any games with, I really appreciate a game letting me experience all of it without forcing me to ask other players to let me join their group or whatever.

Hot take: if this were the case no one would play MMOs

Why not have a separate or also accommodate solo endgame? What is your reasoning?

There are a lot of solo gamers, it's not good money/sense to deny such a demographic endgame content.

Hotter take: MMORPGs should be allowed to extract whatever revenue from their players through whatever channels haven't been made illegal through legislation.

But why? Why does this negatively impact your own enjoyment of the game? If you want to be a social guy and play with a group of friends, have at it. But some people would rather solo, or not have to rely on others to complete whatever it is.

if ppl arent pushed to be social in game you might as well be playing with bots which would be ironic for an 'mmo'. That is modern online gaming in a nutshell.

Define endgame

Max Level? Why not?

Is endgame only raiding? Or PvP? Because those a completely different skill sets that must be learned separate from the rest of the game, so level doesn't matter.

Give one good example as to why they shouldn't be allowed to do so.

Few games allow solo players to get to the end of the endgame level content playing solo.

You're not going to get the best gear without a guild/group.

Playing to max level or even dipping your toes into the endgame content (WoW raidfinder) is not only ok but gets more people into the endgame content and endgame.

I believe grass needs to be touched.

So I support an MMO that wants to base its gameplay around heavy dependence on player cooperation/interaction. I don't think that any blanket statement should be made for all MMORPGs across the board. The issue with "End Game" is that it is usually done through a progression track. Once you are at the end game you run the end game track and are often not a part of the progression track to get there. This means over time you lose players doing the progression part of the game. Meaning that your necessary group content doesn't have the players to complete it because the trickle of new players don't have the wealth of end game players to pull from. So you need to make a game where the end game participates with the progression track or design a system that doesn't have that flaw in it to begin with.

mmos are dead. its for ppl who have nothing else to do and or get addicted alongside sunkcost fallacy.

dark and darker you can't beat the end boss as solo or maybe you can but it's basically impossible. I really hope dark and darker doesnt get casualized anytime soon, the last game that wasnt casualized that I know of was rust, but then of course it happens eventually.
