Riders Republic is a decent enough bike racing game, has other extreme sports too like snowboarding & wing suits, etc

Any need for speed. Burnout paradise is a good one. Horizon 3 or 4. The Crew. Riders Republic has a good mesh of bikes and other vehicles

Have to disagree on the best to start with part, the newest game is also free on steam (starter access). However in my opinion the newest game teaches you more, because of all the new things that have been added.

I like Dirt Rally 2.0 the most. The challenge is to just stay in the road which makes the game feel unforgiving

It has a full campaign aswell as multiplayer

Campain features various racing, derby and special events

Multiplayer wise you can either do racing or demolition derbies

It's essentially old school stock car racing with some twists

It's simmilair to games like Dirt Showdown, Flatout, Eve of Destruction, etc

In terms of vehicles none of them are licensed ofcourse but most of the cars are styled after 1960s-1990s cars. There's also a couple pickup trucks, Vans/SUVs and specialty/fun vehicles like a lawn mower

The vehicles are also customizable including performance upgrades, armor and visual upgrades aswell as paint/decals. You can also tune your vehicles suspension, gear ratio, differential, and brake balance

It's definitely one of my favorite modern racing games

Sucks there's not alot of games that feature bikes anymore and most the older ones don't have servers anymore like Motorstorm

Supposedly the MXGP games are really good if you like dirtbike racing but I haven't tried them

the thing about assetto corsa is that it's unplayable without a wheel/controller, the main way to get mods is content manager. I would recommend downloading the shutoko revival project mod and then playing on their servers

wait for the ultimate edition to go on discount on steam and then buy it, a lot of mods rely on dlcs

Nah you're thinking of the right game, the campaign matchmaking and a bunch of other things are free and to play everything its just 10€ per year. Which is completely fine considering they keep updating the game

I see, I will add the line saying everything free is a bit of stretch for there steam page lol.

Also I'm struggling to even play it because of a white screen and other issues.

I'll have to figure that out

If you're going for the newest one I recommend getting it on ubisoft connect since it will need that anyway and you wont need steam with it. But in terms of online play and performance, Nations Forever is the better option.
