this game was such a great idea but heavily limited by the fact that you couldn't play it except for a small window in the evening on mondays.

I played a bit of this when I wanted TF2 but not TF2.

Cool concept before games like Battleborn. Definitely tried hopping on the class system TF2 popularized tho

I loved this! This and Gotham City Imposters were my jam! I was so upset when SMNC was PC only!!

i had never heard of MNC but I somehow stumbled onto SMNC. It's the most fun game I've ever played to date. Absolutely loved it. WAY ahead of it's time.

It honestly haunts me that this game will likely never return.

Monday Night Combat was my absolute favorite, love that it gave me the ability to play base mom and just heal turrets and protect the home while everyone else was out mixing it up. The commentary was hilarous, all together a really fun time I miss.

Lots of games have tried the fps MOBA feel, but so many have gone down the drain.

Battleborn died fast. I loved Paragon, but that crumbled too.

There was a sequel. It was called Super Monday Night Combat, released on PC (maybe consoles), and died years ago. It was fun while it lasted and had some cool heroes that I still remember to this day.

You downvote, but this is a quote from the game. Because the Monday Night Combat announcer, Mickey Cantor, is probably one of the best things about the game. Hiyoooo!

My theory is they made the jump to pc and free to play to early. They got a fan base on Xbox then immediately left it for the pc community. Like the game was dead before I ever had a pc near capable of running it.

I thought that about tank for the original MNC but I think its mainly because back then mobas weren't as widespread as today and no one knew how to win aside from death matching, the idea of pushing lanes just didn't occur to them I guess.

Man that game was so good! I remember buying it on a whim on the Xbox. The sequel was ass though unfortunately.

MNC reminds me of my parents getting a divorce and my dad moving into a shitty apartment a couple blocks away. Good times.

People on PC still playing from time to time. I started playing MNC on xbox and somehow made it to top 100 (kills and lifetime earnings) so i can‘t let go of the game easily either.

You can download MNC on steam and also play with a Xbox or PlayStation gamepad

I played the hell out of this and got into the F2P sequel for a while.

I highly recommend looking into Predecessor if you want a 3rd person MOBA.
