So, I switched on my XBox and saw a game named Marvels Midnight Suns is for sale for 40€/50€ (depending on the version you buy).

Since I haven't heard of it yet, I searched for a trailer, but that didn't help, since it showed no real gameplay.

Here's the question: What's the game like? Which famous game could it be compared to?

And most important:

Is it worth 40€(43$)/50€(54$)???

This's how I've described it to my friends, with varying effectiveness:

50% XCOM With A Card System

50% Mass Effect Buddy Time/Dating Sim

If you enjoy these things, you'll likely enjoy Midnight Suns.

I like how they complain their sales aren't what they hoped, yet half the systems still have unannounced release dates.

I would sit and wait, the price will continue to fall as they get more desperate.

It’s a turn based battle game that uses playing cards from a deck to make your moves like attacking and healing your characters. Also other awesome buffs and superhero powers. If you like marvel characters there’s a bunch to choose from and because your cards are randomly pulled from a deck the game is different every battle you have. I’ve put about 40 hours in and I can highly recommend it. I love just picking match ups and watching them slay enemies while listening to superhero banter. Extremely satisfying.

I was hesitant about purchasing, but grabbed it when it went on sale. I really like the gameplay but think it is overshadowed by all the dialog, and traversing around the grounds with a very awkward looking running mechanic. I find myself skipping almost all of the dialog so I can get to the next mission. Would have preferred a 80/20 gameplay to dialog ratio instead of the 50/50. Also think they could have used cinematic/cgi cut scenes to make them more appealing, especially the action cutscenes (I don’t mean during battle).
