I wanted to buy it cus I loved playing Bound In Blood, but you can't find it anywhere now. It's basicall been scrubbed off the earth.

Played the hell out of the demo. Never got around to playing the full game. Should i?
Jawshewah OP t1_je83ka3 wrote
Go do it right now

Yes, it's a very fun sort of almost arcade style shooter. And the quick draw duel boss fights are like nothing I else I have ever played.

if you liked the demo, then you will have fun (or blast) with the game. They're usually on sale on steam or gog.com. I just checked to be sure and eh it's on sale on gog.com right now. That game for 3.8 euro is certainly a steal.

Literally was just thinking about this game today at work! Haven’t played it in like 10 years, I’d love to see them revive it as well.

I don't remember the specifics of the story, but I remember liking it a lot

Gunslinger was great, played it like 2-3 years ago for the 1st time actually XD the narrative with the borderlands type of look, the gunplay etc. everything about this one was great
But dont forget about the very very first one, with Reverend Ray and Billy (played it 1st time around 2010, and the hell of multiplayer aswell)
But i haven't played Bound in Blood yet wich is fyi for some people prequel to the first CoJ about Ray and his brothers
BUT COJ SERIES DEFINETELY NEED REBOOT/REMAKE! Loved it as a kid
my-post-only t1_je9enhu wrote
The first one was definitely amazing, the voice actor for Reverend Ray was outstanding, I couldn't start a level until he read all of the text out on screen.
Bound in Blood is my favourite, you should pick it up.

I forgot about this series! Loved it back then. Thanks for the nostalgia!

Aren't these Shinobi Commando-style games similar? They are also doing one with fantasy pirates atm.
Recently there were also some interesting third person dark fantasy western tactic action games.

i think the series died out because of a modern-setting title

Never played this, which is probably why I immediately thought of Overwatch when I saw this post.

If you think about when it was made it doesn't make RDR seem so clever.

The gun play on this game was outstanding. The weapons all had weight and the combat was outstanding. I loved it. Ubi did a great job with this one.

At some point, Call of Juarez will return I think but at least it said goodbye with Gunslinger which is a great game. It was also highly replayable thanks to its arcade style.
Corleone648 t1_jed09ef wrote
I only played the first two games of the Series recently, they're great, especially the second game, I still need to play Gunslinger.
Puzzleheaded_Will_38 t1_jedsdu9 wrote
This game and the older ones in the series were a blast, i recently finished them all and now i miss william, ray and thomas.
New-Breed t1_je85bxj wrote
By modern, I hope you mean a return of the series and not a modern day interpretation. Call of Juarez The Cartel is a dark stain on an otherwise fun series.
