Maybe just wait a year or two before switching to new Windows, let them polish it.

I waited 5 years to switch to Windows 10 when I finished my new PC coming from Windows 7 in 2020. I'm likely going to ride out Windows 10 until support is dropped for it.

Windows 10 was great since 2016. They really didn't rock the boat with it.

Windows 11 is playing around with aesthetics over function too much. Like Windows 8 and Windows Vista, this has only led to stability issues.

There's a reason why people loved XP, 7, and 10. Just a stable OS and no fuss trying to be fancy.

That's an option. I usually switch when I see there are no glitches, bugs or any other breaking points for gaming. My opinion is to stay updated for good optimization, but don't rush it.

Partially because Covid and lockdowns and everything has screwed with many peoples perception of time, and partially because very few people actually use Windows 11, so it feels new

For me, it's probably because of the second reason you said, everyone I know is still on W10

The only people I know that are using Windows 11 are people who don't know they're using it and aren't very computer literate. One day they woke up, turned on their computer, and the taskbar looked funny, so they just went with it

So glad they make it near impossible to disable updates and laptops with unremovable batteries. Win11 is beyond big brother it's sickening. I hate M$

If it really bothers you that much, check protonDB or a similar tool to see how many of your games will run on Linux and consider switching

Bother me? It should bother everyone if they were only aware which in itself is sketchy business practices not respecting the individual. I've considering diving into the Linus world simply from a secure PRIVATE OS standpoint. I'm not concerned with gaming however having compatibility with Adobe and Autodesk software is paramount to me as a design professional.

I'm playing the game right now on Windows 11 and runs buttery smooth.

I've been running 11 for ages with zero issues. I'm sure this will be patched quickly.
