Just beat this game and honestly was a 10/10 for me. I wish I could forget it all and start again. Currently on sale for 40% off on steam. 12$ canadain.

The game is set in 1807 with the player assuming the role of insurance inspector for the East India Company. The Obra Dinn, a merchant ship missing for five years, has reappeared off the coast of England with no one alive aboard. The player is dispatched to the ghost ship to perform an appraisal, reconstruct the events of the voyage, and determine the fates of all sixty souls aboard, providing a cause of death for those deceased or a probable current location for those presumed living. Investigation is accomplished by going into flashbacks of a specific murder and finding certain clues using accents/clothing/ and various other hints.

Just play, trust me. You’ll be frustrated and dumbstruck some times, but if you continue and figure it out, there is no better feeling!

Lovely game but I know plenty of people who wouldn't really be interested and boot up their regular online shooter or sports game instead.

If you're on the fence though, go play it!

You know what, you are right, the title “EVERYONE” should play may be a stretch. But it truly is a amazing game to me and if people are willing to explore something new, I couldn’t reccomend more.

I do enjoy mystery games in general, but I feel like I got a much better experience with it playing with my sister, spit balling ideas, than I would have just playing the game by myself. I would have probably not been able to reconstruct the scenarios nearly as well just by myself. It's definitely worth the purchase though, if it's on sale. Not the best mystery game I've played, but good still.

Yeah I can 100% see that. An extra set of eyes/brain would of definitely been helpful at times. What are some other recommendations for mystery games, if there is something better? I’m Always on the look out.

I absolutely love Painscreek Killings, but it's quite old of a game by now.

Great game, had that soundtrack in my head for weeks. It's great that you actually need to think through things and look for subtle clues, and make real deductions.

I'm playing it right now because of the sale and I'm enjoying it but the forced back to back memories can be really annoying and some deductions seem to just need brute force, unless I'm just too dumb. Love the music though

I really, really liked it. But I called it a day after finding half their fates.
My extra recommendations are The Witness and The Talos Principle
