Downloaded MW2 (yeah yeah I know) because it seemed okay from the beta, and fuck me this Menu system is AWFUL! It seems to be following another trend of absolutely awful User Interfaces in games. I dont get it. Why as a dev would you intentionally make your games navigation as shit as possible?

This isnt just a COD specific thing, every game recently has a terrible Menu/UI system, for no reason whatsoever. It just makes no sense in my mind how people are looking at this and thinking its okay/normal...

Am I just an old geezer now? What is going on?

They menus are mostly made with controllers in mind and are terrible to navigate with keyboard and mouse

It’s not just that. BF2042 menus with controller are terrible. Like mind melting smash something terrible! One page you use triggers, the next switches to shoulder buttons and then sometimes left stick. I’m constantly hitting the wrong buttons trying to navigate. It shouldn’t be this hard. Happy Gaming!

Dunno about menus but I HATE the font size in many games now. There's this obsession with making it as tiny as possible and very few games include any options to change it. It may be fine on huge TVs but playing on smaller displays is a nightmare
