99% of "day one" emulation is piracy. Pirating new games makes you a piece of shit, end of story.
If you rip the game yourself, no one cares. The vast majority of people do not rip their emulated games from their own media, especially when it comes to Switch emulation.
I think majority of people will still purchase the game so I don't think it's an awful thing.
I think more games should have demos before purchasing because there's a lot of games that look like they should be really good (Arkham Knights, Saints Row) that turned out meh. Demos would prevent people wasting money but emulation is another form of that.
I feel if I enjoyed a game enough I'd buy it to support the devs.
The best the gaming industry got was when purchasing was truly optional. Well conceived and made games flourish and bad money grabs flounder. The grip big companies get on consumers is how an industry regresses. The more accessible it is the more quality is rewarded.
The problem I have with this argument is what if nintendo just stops making games because of declining sales and decides to focus solely on remakes because they're easy money?
