It literally doesnt "tell" you a single thing. It even uses its own made up language so you cant "read" properly item descriptions, besides of some button prompts. You essentially find pages of the games manual throughout the world and, albeit written in its own language, makes you figure out through images how the game works. It's such a brilliant game :)

The game awards mean little to nothing for me when 90% of games I buy and play these days are indie titles. Sure AAA studios will release one or two bangers a year but for the most part they are uninspired, built to chase trends and revenue.

Ngl, i agree with your statement 100% I've been getting slightly disappointed with these new AAA titles, but i just can't wrap my head around them.

To be honest Elden Ring, the gameplay is better than GoW Ragnarok. In Elden Ring you can get back to the bonfire if you loose your runes. God Of War Ragnarok does not allow you to get anywhere if you don't follow the pre-set path. There is not much exploring as it feels limited in GoW Ragnarok. I'd go with Elden Ring.

You was hoping people would say GOW but honestly it will go to Elden ring, it pushed the souls-type genre to a new level with a successful open-world. GOW ragnorak is still good but i dont think it pushed the bar as far as elden ring
