I just don’t get it. Everytime you peek around a corner: instant headshot. Thus everyone just learns hiding spots and places his crosshair according to these spots before peeking. Essentially, these games are just about learning and remembering map layout (all hiding spots).

You know those games offer tools to counter people holding angles. Smokes and Flashes are useful tools other than gun

It's the team competitive side of it. I grew up playing CS early 2000's there wasn't anything like it. Your group of friends playing as a team vs another. Competing in CAL. Great times.

I'm too old for valor too complicated it's like overwatch but way more complicated.

It may feel like that to you. But they are timed and they do have objectives. So that means that one team needs to attack or they lose by default. The other team defends, then swap.

It’s very reminiscent of the old school counter strike format. I would love it without all the damn superpowers.

It’s fun and tactical when it gets down to gun skill and map control. but yeah, it will feel like all camping if you don’t like it.

I would pay for another updated counter strike , but yeah, I eventually got bored of Valorant too. It was the abilities for me, not the game format.

Firstly, there are more than one route to all objectives.

Secondly, there are things you can use such as flash bang when go around well known sniping corners.

Thirdly, you don’t have to peak around corner especially if you know someone is there, do a side step while jumping out into the corner and ready to shoot back.

Counter Strike is not really a “run and gun” game like CoD is, you can implement a lot more tactics into it to make up for the lack of reflex.
