I’m not sure if possibly melting the inside is worth the wait. Electronics like consoles shouldn’t be in cases while being used. Even if the part with the fan is exposed.

Hey man! Setup is sick but I should tell you… I ran my PS5 without the side panels for about a month before looking it up on a whim. Sony confirms that it causes massive damage to the internals, sometimes in as little as a few play sessions. Just letting you know!
