I obviously don’t plan to play the game this instance, as I am still a minor, but I wonder if playing it has any mental side effects or something like that, as I heard it’s pretty graphic with a lot of violence. One thing to note is I’m a highly empathetic person.

Most of the guys you kill are jerks so you won't feel much remorse. Exept with Mr. K probably

My kids play it, they haven't gone on any shooting sprees or stolen cars in real life.

It is very adult themed with adult language, violence, sexual situations and so forth so be prepared for that if you do play it.

Not really particularly graphic, it's exaggerated cartoon violence.

I mean unless you are mentally unstable it isn't going to turn you into anything terrible. Video games don't actually send people on real life murderous sexual rampages or anything of the sort.

Do you have any mental problems? If not you're gonna be ok.

Most sane humans are able to distinguish between reality and fantasy. The only time to worry is if you’re a psychopath but honestly by the time you’re old enough to play a game like this you’d probably have started killing animals. You’re good my dude.

The side effect is happy memories of playing GTA.

(With occasional PTSD from “That One Mission”, whichever one that might be for you.)
