People like to whine and get upset when they find something that contradicts their world view. Politics/etc in video games, movies, etc is ok as long as they agree with it and don't have to think about or reevaluate themselves.

Meh I agree people don't like politics they don't agree with I would say just make a good game!
I take issue with any game that is trying to push a message or issue instead of just letting me get lost in it - do I care that I play as a man no ...do I care that I play as a woman no... do I care that a game seems to have an agenda and no story YES
Just make a good game don't try to make all types of people the bad guy/girl or make me think let me switch my brain off and escape life for a little while thank you
