There are so many great lores out there - Elder Scrolls, Assassin's Creed, Warcraft, Fallout, Metal Gear, Warhammer, Warhammer 40k etc etc - which one is your favourite and why?
P.S. It doesn't have to be huge lore like mentioned above, it can be smaller too.
Another thing ruined by 343 though. I hate the new forerunner lore, they were so much cooler as an ancient human race - it also makes obvious sense why the installations require a human to activate.
Even just the history of the human race or the flood devouring the universe only to be starved and eventually released again. It's wonderful thinking of life being so ancient and once more advanced than it is now.
I love the lore behind all the different viruses researches in Resident Evil. Also Alien lore is really good too
Witcher and maybe Outer Wilds but I'm not really sure if it has a lore.
Dark souls. It's dark fantasy at its finest
The old Halo series before 343 took over. Really wish they never got control of the franchise.

Because the first game at least was specifically a lore game, almost detective work, which made a game about "dinosaur shaped machines" make almost perfect sense

Mass effect
I honestly love the Destiny lore. I hope the partnership with Sony results in some publishing deals for books or shows or whatever. Love or hate the game, they have a talent for lore
I'm a huge fan of Elden Ring lore and story, mostly because it's very entertaining searching for the lore bits and assembling them together. I wish more games were like taht. Souls trilogy was very similar but the lore was more fragmented
