Yo, from time to time I get really pissed off and need to vent (rn it is combination of uni exams, work and f-ers in hs preventing me from hitting legend) and I need a game for it.

  • Preferably nothing multiplayer, I wanna crush some NPCs and feel like a god.
  • No calming bs such as: minecraft, simcity, city skylines
  • Little to no dialogue? (Or smth with open world-ish setting, so I can just go on my own and blow shit up)
  • Dont mind 'older' graphics but would prefer rather newer stuff

Games I play as of late: Apex, Skyrim, Hearthstone, Cyberpunk, Divinity 2, Minecraft, Warhammer, Civ 6, Stellaris

Thanks
- pissed of casual gamer

Souls games would check all your boxes but you need a specific mindset/mental model to be able to relax when playing them

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone.

You're a robot with a lightsaber and slice up other robots. You can buy a big ass hammer and smash them to bits. My go-to frustration game

Check out the auto fire games like Vampire Survivors or Bounty of One, they're dirt cheap, can get hectic and perfect for just chilling out to some mayhem

Carrion. You play as a sentient spaghetti monster and your objective is to consume biomass (read: humans) and escape.

- It's singleplayer only. If you use a bit of strategy, you can body any enemy in the game and do so horribly.

- Carrion is anything but calm. Gets tense later in the game, but you also get some crazy strong and wacky powers.

- The most dialogue you'll hear is a selection of human screams. If you let a human huddle in a corner, you can hear them sobbing.

- Graphics are pixel-based, but very slick. Especially the previously mentioned spaghetti monster.

You could try Monster Hunter maybe. You won't be slicing through hordes of enemies or anything and there's a bit of a learning curve but let me tell you there is no feeling as good as landing a fully-charged true charged slash with a greatsword.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Red Faction: Guerilla. You have to lower a the bad guys "control" over the area by doing raids, defending against raids, doing missions...and most importantly (to me), destroying structures.

You can destroy them at your leisure, and by whichever means you'd prefer, but there's nothing more satisfying to me than getting into a huge truck and crashing wildly into a huge building. It's not perfect, the story could be better, it can be kinda monotonous. But...if you kill enough bad guys with a hammer, you unlock a cheat where your hammer becomes wildly overpowered, and you can straight up Dragon Ball Z an APC through a building. It's glorious.

Dead rising 1 or 2, 2 is usually better because you can make weapons, but killing hordes of zombies is always fun
