I am interested in playing games I never got to play on the psp and vita as I never owned a handheld PlayStation device, but is it worth buying a psp/ps go or ps vita at this point? Are they reliable consoles? Do they have expansive game libraries that make the consoles worth owning? Mainly I’m interested in playing games from series I love but I just never had the portable consoles to play entries like Uncharted Golden Abyss, Daxter or God of War Chains of Olympus.

Yeah now that you can use homebrew to crack them wide open and get rid of the idiotic proprietary memory card bullshit.

It's going to be far easier to get a Steam Deck and put an emulator on it. Providing you have the money at least, they aren't exaclty cheap devices.

we had a psp growing up and it was amazing. i'd say now though to be honest i'd emulate over getting new games / continuing to use my psp. i don't know if you can buy them new anymore, so dealing with needing to replace the battery, having the charger for it potentially replaced as well, etc. could get difficult and/or expensive.

The PSP and Vita are really good handhelds, definitely recommend buy it's a bit harder to get games nowadays unfortunately

Love my Vita. Getting it cracked and running whatever you want on it is the way to go.

There are any number of portable devices that emulate games you'd better off buying instead of a PS Vita in 2023.

Not worth getting it now, since it is an obsolete console.

Better to invest in a new console if possible.
