“Chocolate ice cream is not worth eating,” says the person who dislikes chocolate ice cream.

“Feel free to hand me your portion, then!” says the person who does (with a grin).

Do what you like. That’s what hobbies are for.

*For everyone. Not everyone is going to like every game. So there are enough games for everyone. There are also plenty of titles that are the equivalent today of old school flash games

The “majority of games” you just described is maybe 10% of triple A titles at best. Play some damn indie games my guy.

Eh, I think it's fairly true, especially with the rise in niche genre games

Maybe you shouldn't have taken IGN seriously from the beginning

Depends on what you view as worth. Im older now and have money, but not time. If I can get a few hours of enjoyment, then its worth it to me.

Plus game reviews have never been an accurate metric. IGN gives the Musou genre scores like, 4/10. I love those games and don't care what some guy on the internet thinks about them.

I, too find it difficult. Watching streamers like cohhcarnage that only play quality games helps narrow down which ones are worth it

I stick to my faves and am not disappointed. Gears of War series, The Division series (no game like this with story and lore, books), Ghost Recon series.

You read game reviews?

you base what you decide to play off reviews? 👀

I went through the list and tbh I didn't see any that weren't worth playing.

Do you know which games got 10s? I don't think you do, given

>The majority of games are just wandering through (albeit beautiful scenery) shooting differently skinned, uninteresting AI in between cutscenes of a predictable storyline.

is not even remotely accurate.

Is this a meme that I just don’t get?

Worth playing is subjective to each person. What you decide isn’t worth playing and I are two different things. It sounds like you just have incredibly high standards and that’s fine, but I’m sure you don’t really play games much then.

Well you shouldn't base what you want to play off of others anyways, if I listened to what people liked them I would play nothing but walking Sims instead of games I want to play.

Spot on for the vast majority of AAA games.

Not really true of indies at all. Not to say indies don't have their own separate issues, but being overly cinematic isn't one of them.

Games aren't fun for you obviously. Try something else?

I'm not sure "majority" means what you think it means.

> Sadly most IGN 98% "masterpieces" aren't worth playing...

Who gives a fuck about IGN?
