I get the feeling Hogwarts Legacy will be decent but far too shallow of a game.
If HL is a great game it’s likely going to be GOTY. Oh how I wish this is true.
I hope Hogwarts Legacy is a massive success. It'd be hilarious to see r/gamingcirclejerk implode over that
Baldur's Gate 3.
100% this! The demo is great and I can’t wait to see the other areas and rest of the story!
Hades 2
IF they release it in 2023 :)
You already know I will play the crap out the early access :)
Oh I didn't know that it already had release date.. or that there would be early access to begin with :D I'll wait for finished product though
In the FAQ they said that the early access will get released sometime in 2023
Jedi survivor.
I’m stuck on the last fight in fallen order lol
Hollow Knight Silksong for sure
Sure being optimistic thinking it's gonna come out next year
Or thinking it's real...
Maybe the real silk song was the friends we made along the way
Yeah its the best one for 2023 after marvels spiderman 2

Resident Evil 4 Remake
Isnt Starfield out next year?
Yea but I don't think it's gonna do anything special to consider it a masterpiece. Good for sure tho
I expect it to be a standard Bethesda game, set with the standard bugs and jank, except in space.
See it doesn't need to be a standard Bethesda game. I hope it's more than that. I hope the devs took risk and did alot of unique things on some of the planets. I hope it's the space game I wanted No Man's Sky to be
Oh I agree with you 100%, I want the game to be amazing and well worth the time and money. It looks very promising, I just know Bethesda so it's hard to set high expectations.
Yea man I'm hoping it's Good but there's some things that worry me. The main thing is Procedural Generation. I know they've gone in and hand crafted some things but they said alot of the planets are procedurally generated. I'm sure there's gonna be alot of issues that come with that. I remember No Man's Sky suffering hard from 16 quintillion procedurally generated planets. There was bugs everywhere and also alot of repetitiveness
Starbound shares the exact same problem. When you have quintillions of procedurally generated environments it's inevitable that a lot of them will feel pretty much exactly the same
Yes. Its gonna be a masterpiece Like Fallout 76
Don't you mean Star-tling disappointment PFFFFFFFFFFT
I think Starfield hands down
Hopefully Tears of the Kingdom.
Sex with Hitler 2
BoTW 2 baby!!!
Hopefully Final Fantasy 16
Star Citizen /s
Silksong for sure
Space marine 2
My man
Right now its Wild hearts that im looking forward to
I'm looking forward to Darkest Dungeon 2.
Redfall. I have yet to be let down by Arkane.
Spiderman 2 is bound to be outstanding like the first 2.
Higwarts legacy I have a feeling will be something special as avalanche will want to prove they can do big stuff outside disney.
Suicide Squad kills the Justice League should be great if its half as good as the trilogy.
Robocop and the transformers games could be a sleeper like terminator resistance.
More hoping, but Diablo 4 looks legit incredible. I am terrified of what they will try to do via monetization though.
Probably TLOZ TOTK
Octopath Traveler II will be amazing if they fix the problem from I.
Hades 2 no doubt in my mind
Phantom Fury.
You can't go wrong with boomer shooters.
KSP2
FF16 is gonna be the real GOTY.
Zelda is gonna be the one with awards because Zelda.
Also RE4 Remake is gonna be the best resident evil ever.
Hopefully Haunted Chocolatier.
Fingers crossed.
Spider-Man 2 and Stalker 2
Banjo Kazooie. I doubt theyll do anything to make it not a masterpiece
Wait what…. Are they releasing a new one???? I loved these games growing up.
The 2.2 update for geometrydash
HK Silksong, I hope.
Also hoping for RE4 Remake to have a very high quality standard but it's a lot of game to reimagine and adapt and a lot of chances to mess it up. I am mostly optimistic though, totally open to a reinterpretation that makes it darker while still respecting the original.
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty and Resident Evil 4 remake
Judas
DI2.. I would love for it to be the dying light 2 I wanted but the development hell it’s been through has me worried.
Hoping for starfield myself but honestly the last years have killed most hype I had for games.
Judas, BOTW 2, Pikmin 4 and Redfall
Probably that new zelda game for nintendo
I hope Atomic Heart and FF16 are as much fun as they look, but I'm not 100% sure they'll deliver.
Realistically, my bet's on RE4 remake.
Rocksteady's reach record is pretty stellar, so I'm gonna go ahead and say Suicide Squad.
(Also, RE4 Remake will be amazing, but considering the original is a masterpiece, it's a bit of a boring answer).
Hollow Knight: Silksong. which has been my answer to this question the last 5 times I saw it as well.
I don’t personally see one except maybe Hades 2 since 1 was so good. But I have a hard time believing Starfield, Hogwarts legacy, even FFXVI being a master piece. FF16 I hope is but not super confident.
BOTW2 will be touted like a masterpiece despite not really being one like the first one.
the legend of zelda:tears of the kingdom, baldur’s gate 3,hades 2,maybe starfield.
Hoping Sons of the Forest

I think wo long looks to be an improvement on nioh 2 which is my favorite game I played this year. I’m looking forward to that and atomic heart most.
I find Dead Island 2 to be a highly unlikely pick, personally. I would be very surprised if it can match the original Dying Light. Given how long it was stuck in development hell, I don't expect much from it.
My pick would probably be Baldur's Gate 3.
I wanted to say Starfield, but Bethesda lately has been pretty bad. Same with Diablo 4, monetization in a full-priced game already looks revolting, and they got their beak wet in Diablo Immortal, so they know how many rubes will spend literally billions if you lure them well enough, so they ain't stopping. So I don't expect either to be a masterpiece.
Dead Space remake could be pretty amazing if they stick close to the original, and just give it a facelift and improvements, but I don't know if it qualifies, since it's not a new game.
Also, an unlikely pick, but Ubisoft's Avatar game might be neat. Massive, the studio that's doing it, does absolutely amazing game worlds (they did The Division series, which was very visually pleasing and with solid combat). And Avatar is such an amazing setting that if they just do the world well enough, and combat decent enough, it might be enough to overshadow the usual copy-pasted and written by a 6-year-old Ubisoft bullshit. But I probably choose to believe it, because we lost The Division 3 to this bullshit project, and I want for that to not be in vain.
Homeworld 3 might be great. Though there's not enough shown yet to really know. I just love the series, though I admit most of it is just nostalgia.
Immortals and Deliver us Mars might be great, but too soon to call.
Nightingale could be really special with its world modifiers, but could be just another Fallout 76.
Path of Exile 2 could be good, though I never did get into the original far enough.
I don't expect much out of Hogwarts. Sounds good in theory, but combat looks painfully generic and repetitive right now. I'm not a huge Potterhead though, so that might be a factor.
Street Fighter 6
Spider-Man 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Jedi: Survivor, FFXVI
Dark and darker has me itching for more after the alpha! I really hope they add a bunch more stuff and polish it up a bit but it's already great.

Personally I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy XVI and One Piece Odyssey. Gonna be a great year for RPGs!
Final Fantasy XVI looks very promising. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom also looks to be another highly rated Zelda game. I'm very confident in these 2 releases. I'm not sure about the rest of the lineup tho.
There's plenty of games I expect to be a lotta fun but not exactly 10/10 experiences. I can see myself having a lot of fun with Stellar Blade, but I'm assuming it leans more into a 8/10 game. I'm also not expecting Spider-Man 2 to be the best superhero game ever made, but I had so much fun with Miles Morales and the first entry. They're so much fun to play.
My personal most anticipated game is Trails into Reverie. It's gonna be such a great time.
Sons of the forest and hogwarts legacy
I need to play the Forest but it doesn't seem like it would be fun playing single player
Stalker 2 if it happens…
As a Star Wars fan, I gotta say Spider-Man 2
Replaced, Tears of the Kingdom and Starfield
FF16 I hope.
Dragon Age Dreadwolf. I’m sure hoping.
Tears of the kingdom
Alan Wake 2 (I hope)
Payday 3
Stalker 2
Hogwarts Legacy. No contest
God I hope it delivers, my gf could not be more hype
Have you seen the walkthrough of Hogwarts itself? And then you gotta factor in that there's still a huge open world to explore. It's mind boggling
Yes! I think the exploration alone is going to be worth the $
I'm gonna spend a day just exploring Hogwarts I already know it
Gonna be the years biggest disappointment, I wager. Cyberpunk levels of undelivered promises
Nah that award will go to Starfield. We all know how Bethesda releases their games. Look forward to all the bugs. They make for some great gamesprout videos
Nah, people expect a broken launch from Bethesda. People have hyped Harry Potter to the stratosphere and it won't deliver
People are hyping Starfield way more than Hogwarts Legacy lmao. Guarantee Hogwarts ends up being the polished game while Starfield is the broken one. Ask yourself. Why are the devs of Hogwarts confident enough to show actual gameplay about 5 times now while Starfield has only shown like 10 minutes of gameplay? Hogwarts Legacy has had multiple 30 minute gameplay showcases
I've heard barely any hype from either. Cyberpunk was on a completely different level of hype not seen before in gaming.
Lol cyberpunk had multiple 30 minute showcases too.
Have fun with it though!
No they didn't. They never once showed the final build of the game. it was always staged in engine gameplay
Have fun being wrong tho
I don’t think it’ll be that level of disappointment. But I think people are over hyping it. I think it will be a good game tho. The gameplay looks good.

Hogwarts legacy, could either be insane or a flop
Obviously Spiderman 2
