not on the level of MSFS, but the racing in Gran Turismo 7 is really impressive

I've been in MSFS since 2000 and it always offered more complexity and freedom to me than anything else. Became an obsession for years. FS2020 is just mind blowing compared to where I started. I built a sim pit during covid and spent the weekends flying with my dad online, whose been into flight sims since the late 80s.

A few years late to playing it, but I picked up Red Dead Redemption 2 in the Steam sale and beyond looking gorgeous there's a lot of things in the game that add to immersion. Even little things like needing to cock the hammer of my single action revolver between each shot adds to it.

MSFS was also really impressive playing it in VR mode and actually being able to look around the cockpit of the planes. Star Wars Squadrons was also equally as awesome giving you the feeling of actually sitting in the cockpit of an X-Wing.

Well done VR games in general are kind of just next level. Hot Dogs, Horseshoes, & Hand Grenades is a great game for guns and just plinking on a range.

Elden Ring

Just the gigantic world design and everything built within it, interlaced with different stories and lore and characters seamlessly.

Probably Horizon Forbidden West for me. It's just an incredible looking game. Character models look insanely detailed and every asset is so high quality. It's incredible and the fact it's open world makes it even more impressive
