Not really... If you just want the stories then maybe. The game is boring and the community kinda sucks

Bluntly and from my perspective, no.

I've attempted roughly 3 times with siblings and friends to play ESO together since its inception. We get to the second town, and everyone starts complaining about some aspect or another, myself included. We then drop the game to go back to whatever we were already immersed in or the next big game.

Getting friends together for MMOs has never been a huge success in my experience due to the time commitment in it. If you and yours can find enjoyment, you have my congratulations and more power to you. Best of luck

The gameplay is generic MMO fare, just with an Elder Scrolls skin. If you were expecting typical ES mechanics you're gonna be thoroughly disappointed.

But it is possibly the most lore-rich game in the franchise otherwise. And lets you visit just about every part of Tamriel.

After 2 years playing I have to say no, it doesn't worth it. I'm a PvP player and I loved PvP in ESO but server always had some problems (usually after the weekly patches) so in peak times like between 6pm-10pm it was almost unplayable. The lag was so hard sometimes got disconnected in the middle of the fight, very annoying.

PvE players says it's still okay but at peak time even dungeons had problems and when you have to do strict mechanics than lag is not your friend.

Eventually it's your choice, I had 2 good years with it but in the end it was just pure suffering.

I’ve played a lot of ESO over the years and think it’s a fun game if you’re into fetch quests and the like. Decorating houses and stuff is cool too. Although it’s free, you pretty have to pay for the crafting bag which will cost you $15 a month and comes with some other things too. It’s also massive! You can quest for the rest of your life in this game, and you can do most of it solo if you want.

Interesting how many "no" answers there are. I played the game for probably a solid three years and enjoyed it. I mostly liked how you were free to play solo if you like; while I joined the odd dungeon I really appreciated that if my husband wasn't online I could realistically solo the main storylines just fine.

I got an ESO+ subscription because I wanted the unlimited crafting storage but even without it the game is fun. It's the only MMO I sometimes think about going back to, one day.

i thought it was fun. i played it for a while, it would have been better in a group.

if you really like elder scrolls, id give it a go.

Been playing since it came out with some friends of mine as well, has been pretty fun. I would say go for it since you are playing with friends, if you were playing alone then I would say no lol
