It’s free and has loads of quality of life mods or you can buy it for 30$ on steam for mouse support and a nice graphics overhaul

Endless Sky is decent for wasting time. It's a top down space game that is the spiritual successor to Escape Velocity.

The Kingdom series is pretty decent. Its a side scrolling defense game.
