I love TW:Warhammer 1, 2 and 3. I prefer the fantasy ones for the unique units for every lord. High elf Dragons are hella op. 1 lord and 19 dragons as a side army roaming with your main lord army super fun. It's pretty hard at end game stuff after 200 turns.

They really did do an amazing job on the Warhammer games( three can use more work) but still. The uniqueness off every race and faction makes every playthrough feel like a new game.

Definitely worth it, I recommend getting 1 &2 so you can play mortal empires. Also, Attila has the 1212AD mod that brings everything to medieval times. It's still a work in progress but if you want a modern looking total war set in the medieval period, this is the mod to get.
