So I bought a Gamesir X2 Pro, installed some games, and was feeling pretty good about the setup - that is, until I tried my bluetooth Sony XM3. That delay is sad. Learned about Bluetooth delay in the meantime, learned about codecs. Or at least I thought I did, because I bought Sennheiser's 250BT that has APTX LL only to find mobile phones are not compatible with it. Frustrating. So, now I'm just trying to find out - does it get better than this? Is it possible to buy bluetooth headphones that have low latency on mobile phones?

I'm using a OnePlus 9. I thought delayed Bluetooth was the standard due to the codecs though

My galaxy buds don't seem to have any lag

You can check this by installing latency test apps. I did and for the XM3, the latency was around 400ms. The 250BT has 250 or so.

Interesting. I used different Bluetooth earphones and earbuds to play PC games and use them with my mobile phone. No delay on PC. Maybe that means the problem is with the phone and not your earphones.
