This is the most passion I’ve seen out of Bethesda in a longgg time. Amazing combat,Brilliant songs, ending pulling on your heart strings, lovable characters. Honestly might be my new favourite game. I cried yes. Do NOT overlook this game as another one of Bethesda’s cheap cash grabs. Now available on Xbox game pass,I played it on PC but this plays best on controller.

Eh, it just wasn't my type of game. Seemed like it was decently made, but I was not a fan of doing everything to a musical beat the entire game.

You don’t have to,it’s just you do more damage. If you’re not into rhythm games I could get why you don’t wanna play this,it is wonderfully made though. Gonna keep a close eye on this studio

Which Bethesda games do you consider to be cheap cash grabs?

Fallout 76,way too much monetisation for a very mid buggy game. I do think they’re milking fallout a tiny bit with the confirmation that fallout 5 is in the making, but big games always get sequels I suppose

It's great. I enjoyed the writing, characters, level design and music direction/selection.

I picked it up on Steam.

Eh,I have to disagree. Chai and peppermint had a rough start but from the big reveal and how Chai is shown to have some sort of character depth then I think she starts warming up to him. CNMN is a robot, but I do think he cares for Chainas a friend. And Macron is well Macron. He so kind

It wasn't developed by Bethesda. It was published by them. Skyrim, Fallout, Starfield, are made by Bethesda. In this case it was Tango Gameworks, the studio of Shinji Mikami, and Bethesda just distributed it on a commercial level.

Bethesda Game Studios is a developer known for the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games and the upcoming Starfield.

Bethesda Softworks is a publisher who publishes games from Bethesda Game Works and other developers, including games like the Dishonored series, the new Doom and Wolfenstein games, Deathloop, Prey, and Ghostwire: Tokyo.

It sounds like your complaints about Bethesda are actually about Bethesda Game Studios which was not involved in Hi-Fi Rush.

Who is downvoting OP?

He's right, you don't have to hit everything to the beat. You get bonus damage if you do otherwise it's automatically synced to the beat regardless of when you put in the input.

There are some dodge/insta-kill segments that are literally like a Pa Rapa rhythm section but I believe there are things in the accessibility section to give you a bigger window and only do one button if you can't hold a beat.

I was really into the game at the start but the further I get the more annoyed I get with the combat. There is just too much timing based stuff for my taste. Especially the parry system is just too hard to get down for me. And I don't get how you are supposed to do all these long combos when enemies constantly interrupt you.

And I have to admit I think the music gets very repetitive after a while, not really that odd as everything is tied to the same beat. But for a game designed around music, this is a pretty bad omen.

The stand outs for me are the boss fights, and I wish I could skip all the normal combat and just have boss fights as they are actually fun. I just think the combat works much better when you focus on one enemy and not surrounded by many.

Definitely a game made with passion though, as the visuals, animations and artistic design of the game is amazing. Great game, but I think it is a bit of a niche genre that not everyone will enjoy.

People are sucking this game off way too much.

It's a decent game, it's not the second coming of christ.

This game is the definition of overhyped. I found it ok, and rather boring after a while.
