Of the 2 remakes, which one do you think improved on their predecessors the most, and which one was more enjoyable overall?

Of the 2 remakes, which one do you think improved on their predecessors the most, and which one was more enjoyable overall?
So, remakes are only worth it if you want them?
Lol no, I said you should only remake games that actually feel dated. Dead space 1 is only 2 generations old. It could easily have been remastered instead of “remade.”
Resident evil 4 is 3-3 1/2 generations old now. Silent hill 2, also 3 generations and 22 years old now.
I think the Dead Space series needed a remake, or at least a rerelease since they’re not available for PS4 commercially.
A remaster trilogy would've probably been the better path here. Because Dead Space remake costs 20 USD more than the Resident Evil 2 Remake did at launch, and RE2 Remake did FAR FAR more to innovate and remake the game.
It’s actually good they remade dead space, because it shows that its possible that dead space 4 will be coming, so yes it needed a remake to start the series back up again.
I think it’s more likely that you’ll see a Dead Space 2 remake now instead
Yea, I’m saying that all these remakes will eventually lead to Dead space 4 and when they do remake Dead space 3, that game needs to be remade from being a action game.
And I’m saying that remaking games from 10 years ago is lazy. Why not just create a new game set in the same universe that isn’t Dead Space 1 and start something new.
That’s because dead space has been dead for years until now, if they went straight off the bat and made a sequel, there fan base wouldn’t be as popular like back then, especially how much of a failure dead space 3 was, it’s the right start to remake them and build the fan base back up, also visceral isn’t around anymore, Motive studios did good with dead space remake and that will build there clientele for future entry’s in the series, cause they never made a dead space game until now.
Time to start the wheel of remaking the same games every 10 years.
Sounds like you’re mad cause we get a horror series remade that we haven’t had in years, Resident evil and Silent hill are doing the same thing, so I see no problem with them remaking dead space, it’s better than getting a HD port on PS5.
Yes, you're perpetuating the lazy cycle of constantly remaking and remastering games that company's do these days because they know it's a guaranteed sale. Congrats. I hope you pre-ordered it as well.
lol it would be a lazy cycle if they ported the game over as HD port, they made that game from the ground up and you’re over here crying in the comments cause people enjoy the game and is happy that even get to play dead space again, I’m not about sit here and listen to you cry, if don’t like something then don’t buy it instead crying about it, you’re opinion is not going change anybody’s opinion and then you say we get alot lazy remakes but Resident evil 4 remake literally looks like a new game smh.
Okay, buy it again for even more money then in 10 years when the Dead Space Remake Remake comes out
Lol perpetuating a lazy cycle of remasters is some like last of us remake, which didn’t even need a remake, dead space was made like 14 years ago and you’re calling it a lazy remake.
Plus nobody is forcing you to buy it, if you don’t like remakes, then don’t buy them, plain and simple.
deadspace definitely needed a remake
Dead Space is the far more ambitious, and improved, of the two remakes.
Other than graphics, what did they change of TLOU 1 for the remake?
Dead space is really the only remake of the 2, it improved most of the aspects of the original game, tloup1 is just a visual touch up at best and even removed the multiplayer.
Deadspace added appropriate dialogue in smart places when there's was none at all, giving Issac a better character for the first game.
The tram system and entire game plays out in 1 cut to further immerse the player into the ship, added a few side quests that don't get in the way or stand out like a sore thumb.
They improved the no gravity sections controls and camera, they added the deadspace 2 telekenesis combat with ripping off spiked arms or sharp piles to impale monsters to walls making combat even more fluid and visceral.
Improved gore and flesh tearing effects of the monsters, some new story bits from expanded lore, and of course graphical overhauls.
The last of us part 1 make things look nicer and added a part 1 at the end to remind you that the shitty part 2 definitely exists and you should remember that it exists.
>Of the 2 remakes, which one do you think improved on their predecessors the most
Dead Space: for one, EA Motive removed the horrendous turret sections with something more feasible that doesn't take players out of the action, took the 360 degree-movement in zero-gravity mechanics from Dead Space 2 and implemented them for the remake instead of the stick-to-surfaces-only from the original and made the entirety of the spaceship accessible akin to a metroidvania rather than an enclosed level-by-level design.
the last of us easily one of the best games
I would rather have had a Days Gone 2
I WISH! That was such an incredible game. Too bad they cancelled it 😥

Dead Space for sure.
Last of Us remake was just cleverly released to profit from the show market.
But honestly, neither game really needed a remake. Remakes of 90s and early 2000s games are fine.
Resident Evil 4 will surely be the remake that humbles both of them.
