It's good if you enjoy MMOs. It is not good if you just expect Skyrim but multiplayer.

I dont like it. Terrible animations. Bad graphic. Very bad looking armors. Boring gameplay.

If you want mmo play FF14 or Wow. If you want TES game play Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. If you like retro then play TES II Daggerfall.

IMO ESO is a joke. Especially when it was p2p for a short moment lol.

It's a good single player MMO. Especially for questing and lore.

It's a bad multiplayer MMO. All the group content is dead except real end game stuff.

dont really care for the group content lol

hate typical mmos

It's basically a simplified Elder Scrolls game with real people running around.

Quests don't have much player impact, but they're good lore dumps and you get to explore the world and lore of everything.

It's very easy open world, lots of stuff to do especially if you like crafting, and it's all about lore and just living your best life in Tamriel.

It was fantastic when it first came out. Had a great in game economy, large community that used area chat, great leveling, and plenty of grinding opportunities.

That is not how the game is now. Used to be the farther you travel from your home town the more difficult the game would be. Now it is made where all monsters and quests level to your character, making it corny and pointless. Why be level 50 if everything’s going to scale to a level 10 anyway? The economy is also complete garbage now, any desirable item has been found thousands of times so trading/selling with other players is pointless.

If you want to try it I’m pretty sure it’s on gamepass, but I can’t stand to play it in its current state.

Complicated answer. Lore wise, its an absolute triumph, but I don't think dungeon crawling is a much fun as it is in Skyrim. Gameplay is very action MMO with hotbars rather than the more simple but immersive Elder Scrolls typical combat. You'll basically want to 3rd person the game to do any of the more challenging content. Leveling system is really liberating and the game does a good job making it feel more relevant than GW2 where you wake up at cap and have no idea how the game works. Housing system and collection is really cool. Its a mesh of the two genres but it depends what you like about the series.

i like exploration and quests mostly

also the immersion and freedom is a huge part, playing third person kills the immersion for me in an elder scrolls sadly

Casual play its fine you can go first person. You don't ever have to go 3rd person its just a lot of visual indicators are easier to see that way. Late game content just kind of leans towards it. I'd have cared more, but first person combat with the hotbar doesn't feel as immersive as the single player games.

Exploring is pretty cool the world is massive. There are a ton of quests and I enjoyed the quests more than I do in other MMOs. They play to a strength of the ES series.

It was good when it first came out but going free to play kind of ruined it.

One of the best PVE in MMORPG, however, would suggest a better money investment - Guild Wars 2 or Final Fantasy XIV online

Sure, for someone who loves Elder Scrolls in general you should enjoy it very much, atmosphere and music in TESO is of a same level as single player versions
