Access to a PC with reasonable gaming capabilities? Or willingness to upgrade? Or is this more of a "what can I play on the $500 laptop I bought 2 years ago" situation?

I would say it's pretty decent. I work in the architectural field and often have to render and use 3D software. I'm also willing to upgrade if necessary.

@spencer1989 Ooh! Do you have PC recommendations? I work w 3D modeling and CAD and need to replace mine and have no idea what to get. I know I want portable and it would be nice if I could also draw with a real pen-and-paper feel with no delays, because I'm also good at drawing by hand and would love to be able to that as well. I also like a "substantial" feel to the keyboard, a lot of keyboards feel to shallow to me when I type. I'm trying not to spend a fortune.

A few ideas depending on what genre you're interested in:
- Platformer - Rayman Legends
- Action - Batman Arkham Asylum
- Puzzle - Portal/Portal 2
- Sim - Stardew Valley
Any Lego game is also pretty safe and they're generally high quality. I'd stay away from heavy online games (such as battle royale games). They're not friendly for newbies.

Many thanks! I will definitely try one of those

Sure thing. I'd suggest watching the trailers on YouTube and grabbing the one that interests you the most. Much more likely to enjoy your experience if you know what to expect and are intrigued.
