My partner's Japanese Spitz (as is the lovely pup in the clip) self grooms all the time and has never been near a cat.
Licks the paws and rubs her muzzle and face clean on the reg. She is 100% a CatDog

My Shelty has been around foster cats for so long that he cleans/grooms himself after eating (licking his paws and rubbing his face). I'm told that self-grooming is very unusual in dogs.
