I grew up as a 90s kid with my much older (in high school) half brothers - they had an Atari in the basement. I used to get to play it and I think thatโ€™s where the โ€œnostalgicโ€ feeling comes from. Love it, my drives home are fairly long and rural I cherish that time.

Thanks! You write whole stories under this post, it's incredible how much pixelart brings people back to the past)

Thinking a large digital picture frame would be cool. Have you ever done anything Vegas related?

1

AnStation OP t1_jcz0sse wrote

I haven't drawn Vegas yet, but there are two other urban scenes in my profile

On steam? Can you make basic gifs like this to download and share, with the free version or is premium needed?

1

MesyJesy t1_jd1cxa9 wrote

Might be on steam but I use the phone version. I canโ€™t remember if I paid for premium or not but you can animate and all that fun stuff

Iโ€™ll try it at home, currently working. What dimensions does it have? Is it possible to make a 1920x1080 version?

It is in this resolution that this scene is uploaded here)

Thank you! It was your first car, cool ๐Ÿ‘ but for me it was a dream all my life, and it still remains

I got it when I was in college, $11000 CAD for a 10K miles 3.2L. I drove the hell out of that car and the engine timing chain finally died at around 20K miles. I got a new engine from a junk yard, swapped it in and it's still running today in my family with 25k miles. Transmission is gonna go soon though, at that point we might kiss it goodbye.

It's a special car for me. For about 6 weeks when I was switching residence in my university days, I lived in that car out of a parking lot beside the gym. Literally spent most of my days in the library, stored my stuff in the car and school locker, and slept in the trunk with back seat down for 6 weeks.

Damn, this is a cool life story. In our country, such a car is designed for people from the middle class)

Something jarring about seeing a CarPlay dashboard in this early 90s aesthetic.
