The biggest snowstorm I've ever driven through was driving back from Sedona via Flagstaff. Hairy drive.

The 17? It’s like the 4th deadliest stretch of freeway. The 17 between Phoenix and Flag. Definitely scary.

Yeah. 17, and then I-40 until the elevation dropped enough that it hadn't snowed. A couple of hours of white knuckle driving.

Are those some variety of evergreen tree? I didn’t know they grew so far south.

Flagstaff’s elevation is 6900 feet, so it’s a good climate for some evergreens.

Yes. They exist as far south as Nicaragua. Even Florida has them. Which I am assuming you mean something like conifer trees. Trees that are always green and extremely common in the south like tropics as there is no cold weather.

They exist pretty much at all latitudes, even at the equator. The exception are the extreme arctic regions

There are different climates here. It’s not all desert. Plus I’m in the mountains at like 7000 feet.

Death Valley is between Nevada and Cali. The hot you speak of is only a part of the climates in AZ. Flagstaff is like 2 hours north of and like 5500 feet higher in elevation than Phoenix. It’s beautiful up here.
