What medium is this? Looks like this is through a microscope.

I'm pretty sure this is a table - it's sand and a metal ball is rolled along with magnets on the underside - so you can program the computer that moves the magnet in wonderful ways like this.

This may be the HoMedics "drift" sandscape table:
https://www.homedics.com/drift-sandscape/
Edit:
It appears HoMedic's version of a sandscape table is limited to a couple hundred preset 'art' pieces in their app.
However, the OG to sandscape table (Sisyphus) is more likely to be the specific manufacturer of the table in this GIF, based on the color display and the near limitless customization options: https://sisyphus-industries.com/gallery/

Yup! The medium I suppose is a sand table- I design the art in illustrator and then export it out for my table to read. Homedics copied their design from Sisyphus and their customization is really lacking for what I like to design in the sand.

I’m pretty sure they had a similar table at Costco too because I definitely remember seeing one of these in person and I’m pretty sure it was Costco lol
