First impressions: Definitely sounds like a more balanced chu; some other people are claiming that they are successors to ssr/ssp", maybe they are taking over that price bracket but doesn't seem to sound a lot like my SSPs, at least from what I remember when I had them briefly. It has slightly less edge, and just a tad more bass than the chu, can still sound shouty/harsh on some tracks. Technicalities and resolution are good, good detail retrieval. Soundstage is decent but excels at imaging and intrument separation. The sound is a lot more similar to the 7hz zero, albeit less transparent and not as warm but is much better built.

The rubbery cable feels very similar to the orginal chu, but it's detachable. I prefer a thicker cable, so it got swapped out. Also did not try with stock tips. I use MS42 tips for almost all my IEMs, so at least my comparison with the chu is fair. The build is really good, there's some heft to the shell.

How are the technicalities (Soundstage, Imaging, Separation and Layering)?

I was kind of wondering about whether they would sound more like a SSP/SSR or Chu with more bass and less treble bite. I honestly like the sound of my Chu with bass added and the treble smoothed over a little which my iFi iDSD signature takes care of. Sounds like I will enjoy this one.

Mine is stuck in Chicago in the US and there are terrible winter storms all over, so probably won't get it until next week I would guess. Love the mouse pad!

Definitely good purchase, worry not, my opinion is not biased in any way

I'm waiting for my combo of Lan & Pad. The store I bought shipped it much sooner than the expected date so I hope I'll be getting it soon as well.

Clearly the lan should sound much better with this mousepad.

What tips does the Lan come with? I got the steallaris (3 of them like them so much.) And love the tips that come with them.

I haven't been able to find any info on what tips the lan comes with.

Generic silicone moondrop tips. They're fine. I swapped them with with Spring Tips because I have some lying around, and it sounds great with it.

Quick impression from a few rounds of deathmatch, definitely very good for Valorant. Soundstage isn't huge but imaging is precise, which is arguably better for gaming since it gives you the "wallhack effect". I can see why he likes it, it's pretty similar to the DT 900 PRO X which he also likes for gaming. The slight sparkle at the top area is perfect for footsteps.

I'll personally use this for gaming more than my Kato because while that is more enjoyable, the lower area is too crowded for competitive gaming.

if I own the chu should I upgrade to this one?

If you dont mind spending for an upgrade in build quality and for the detachable design, then sure go for it. Do mind that it won't be much of an upgrade sonically. I find that the lan (even with my preferred ms42 tips that tend to smoothen the highs) still suffers from being shouty and harsh sometimes, and require me to adjust the volume for some tracks. If the one thing you hate about the chu is the fact that the cable is fixed, then the lan will satisfy you. That was my reason for getting the lan.
