Fun trivia: these are Andrew Scheps's preferred headphones and has been using them for like 20 years.

If you keep a lookout, you'll see the MDR-7506 all the time in control rooms, radio booths, and film crews in the background on various shows, news, etc.

I got them 3 days ago. They're perfect, never heard a closed back so spacious and dynamic. They seems they tame the low end a lot... Do you find that's the case? Why does it seem so to me? Is it because the other models pump them (I thin to the audiotechnika)

I agree with you, i once had an ATH WS1100IS and that compared to this sony at low frequency…Sony is the winner imo coz it has detailed bass not muddy as that ATH

I wish they came with shorter or removable cables.

I grab them for just about everything. Music, creation, podcasting, and gaming. Use a lot of headphones but these always deliver.

Yep I really love them for their utility

You should change out the pads tho cuz the stock ones are super uncomfy

I have brainwavz pads and they're really really nice

I got the Brainwavz, too, and I love them. The blue ones. The color matches perfectly with the sticker on the side.

I don't think you need to rush to replace them though. The stock pads feel good but start to flake after a couple of years so you can do it then. :-)
