Hi guys, first time posting here.

So to cut things short, I bought Sennh's ie200 and I wanted to replace the god-awful cable that they included with the IEMs, so as any broke man on this planet would do in this case I went on AliExpress and bought a new braided cable with different terminations.

I was dying to try it, also because I have never had the cable necessary to try the 4.4 balanced port on my zen Dac, and being the jacks swappable on this new cable I was very excited!

You can imagine my disappointment when the cable arrived and the MMCX didn't fit the headphones, I mean, they worked right, but they were so loose that they weren't even remotely wearable. They didn't have that satisfying click that the Sennheiser cable has, so people of r/headphones I defer to you:

owners of the IE200 could you recommend some cables that actually work with the IEM?

Also, bare in mind that I live in the EU, so Amazon.com will not cut it.

I thank in advance every and each person that will spend some time to help me with this

EDIT: I said screw it and went to town on the terminations with a box cutter, and i'm happy to say that now it fits Perfectly! thanks for all the useful comments below, you've all been crucial!

you can also choose to cut the ring around it

what do you mean by cut the ring around it? do you mean the red and black rings on top of the connector that indicate the sides of the buds? you can safely remove them?

If it is a yes, i will certainly try

Bought This on Amazon se for my IE300 which does have the same connectors, looked through your posting history and noticed you are Italian and as far as I know you do have a Italian marketplace, the cable I linked should be available there or on the German site if not.

Hi, just get the adapters/converters for the IE 300/600/900, AKG N5005, etc. It should work with any MMCX connection, though it'll be loose and prone to falling off, at least with some of them.

Like the OKSC one on Amazon is loose with the IE 200 and my FiiO UTWS3/5 TWS adapters, it falls off easily with certain angles and movements. But it works pretty well, just don't move too fast or tilt your head that much.

Try buying from Amazon UK (Amazon USA, Amazon Japan, et cetera also ship to some places Europe), lol.

Here's more info on TWS adapters like the FiiO UTWS3/5, KZ AZ09 Pro, etc. alongside adapters/converters, AptX Adaptive dongles (KB9P, YET-T10P, etc.), and so on needed for them: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/11565qg/need_help_buying_a_bluetooth_wireless_adapter_for/j9033u7/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/10hfuxn/wireless_earbuds_for_gaming_with_plugin_to/j58i33j/

Don't forget the versions (adapters/converters for the IE 300/600/900, AKG N5005, etc.) from AliExpress, there's a few other ones there.

With quality control of Chinese IEMs, AliExpress shipping times, see here for a bit more info: https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/10sna0p/i_have_it_engrained_in_my_mind_as_an_american/j7395yr/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/zav570/is_hifigo_a_scam/iynrt65/

For the cables, you can ask custom cablemakers like XINHS on AliExpress to add microphones, different colors, longer/shorter length, etc. to the cable. Make sure to specify what you want, it might be extra costs though.

If budget isn't a concern null audio makes a cable just for the IE200/300/600/900.

It is possible to modify some cables to fit the Sennheiser ie200/300 etc without damaging the IEM itself. I made the mmcx connector housings more narrow so they can be inserted a little deeper, they fit the ie300 securely. I only did it to see if it worked, I have no problems with the original cable and prefer it.

Tripowin and some other cables from Linsoul or AE that have red and clear plastic indicators at the ends can be cut off. That way you not cutting your IEMs.

In the future think twice about supporting Sennheiser. They know that we consumers want to swap cables but they don't seem to care. Lots of other choices.

I also have some Blessing 2 Dusks, that i love, but honestly they get quite fatiguing after a while. I work with headphones on for pretty much 8h every day and I wanted something comfortable that wouldn't break the bank and these fell just in the right category. I honestly thought that swapping the cable would have been much easier, but I guess not thanks, sennheiser.

Bless their hearts, Sennheiser tried to make a competitive cable with the 200s. FAIL!

Tripowin Zonie cables work on my ie300s with the plastic ends on the cables cut off. If you move around a lot they might come loose but you can get them for 20 dollars.
