Yurp, after this price point diminishing returns start to hit hard.

Tried a few iems but ended up choosing Blessing 2

Dioko: sounded a bit lean, fit is weird too

Yume2: liked this one but I prefer a bit less bass

Hook-X: originally wanted this but after trying it, didn't like the sound signature much

S12 Pro: it just sounded weird to me

Stellaris: my god, this sounded so thin, even thinner than the Dioko

Timeless AE: quite dig this but the fit is kinda shallow

Blessing 2: like this one the best out of the bunch, fit is really secure too and not fatiguing at all with Spring Tips

Also, thanks mum and dad!

Right on. I feel like a lot of people will miss out on the Timeless experience due to the shallow/weird fit, mainly those of us with large ear canals. I get them to fit with Xelastecs, but only Xelastecs.

Huh, a rare Blessing 2 user. Most people (myself included) seem to go for the Dusk. Any reason you went plain B2? (Admittedly, if you ask me why I went Dusk, I'm not sure...)

Ya well, Blessing 2 Dusk is not available in my country. Not to mention that I tend to lean towards iems with brighter sound signature.

Same in Europe, Blessing 2 only available on Amazon.

Not OP but I choose the B2 over the Dusk. The B2 has more of a bright neutral sound signature and since I already had the Aria and a few bassy iems I wanted something different. Adding a bass shelf is also pretty easy, even on very basic eq applications. Lastly, while it wasn’t the deciding factor, I wanted a certain engraving that wasn’t available on the Dusk.

I definitely would've picked the Dusk over the B2 but here in Australia it's harder to get the Dusk and more expensive too.

I currently have both, due to thinking I'd lost the first set, I prefer the originals in quiet listening spaces. But, the added base in the Dusk helps when outside.

Would love to have a comparison between stock and Spring tips: sizes, comfort, sound change ?

Exotic-Masterpiece75 OP t1_j86zf5j wrote

I used large for both stock and Spring tips. Comfort wise, I would prefer Spring tips over the stock ones. Soundstage might be wider on the Spring tips though it might just be a placebo effect.

How's the bass when you use spring tips on a rather brighter IEM like B2? They kill the bass too much when I use them with my current IEMs, even on the bassier one like Andro. They are indeed comfortable though, kinda like Sedna.

Exotic-Masterpiece75 OP t1_j87bx5y wrote

Oh for me the bass is sufficient enough with the Spring tips, though I couldn't hear audible difference between them and the stock ones.

That's a nice looking cable. Reminds me of the one that came with my ibasso IT01. Would love to try these but the price point is a little high for me to justify atm.
