If it was made like the macbook pro power cables from 2014 onward, the outer sheath will begin to decay within 2 years of use. I've been through 3 power bricks because of that, on my last presently on its record breaking run but has multiple gaps in the outer layer (exposed conductor). When it fails that sucker is done, not buying more Apple stuff.

yeah those apple cables are garbage. i take good care of my stuff but those cables always disintegrate after some time. maybe the new cables that apple gives with ipad and mac will be better as they are braided.

1.Fold your cable in three sections.
2.Twist the two middle cables.
3.Align your third one and you'll have a single braid.
4.Repeat the steps to your desire.

Just make an X cross then a line — beneath. The two middle ones are the X and the tethering are the line —
