The cloud 2 was on sale for much less a while ago if I remember correctly. It's definitely worth it, but not for 80€ I would say. The fake surround sound sucks, stereo sound is solid (but as with any gaming headset it's far from good or great, but still quite a bit better than most other gaming branded products).
The cloud 2 should last for a while though, so even at 80€ it's probably fine. I'd say read a bit into how the sound of any of those models is. That's the most important part. Then you can decide.
I personally would save up for one of the cheaper Sennheiser open backs, slap a modmic on that and call it a day.

Many people recommend this but I honestly for me personally the sound quality of the Cloud I are enough for what I do, and that extra comfort of just having the microphone and everything all in one ready to go is unbeatable comparing to what you mentioned.
I will not be using the fake surround, I don't really like that stuff.
The whole thing is if the CloudX, which costs just 50€, is worth it. It seems to be the same base model, AFAIK, with a few different add-ons (no USB, no surround, etc)

If it really is the same base model and your motherboard has good enough audio processing then it should be fine

I have a separate sound card and it seems to be okay.
Only issue is that the X is designed for Xbox so I'm not sure if it's 100% compatible with PC

According to Amazon it should work just fine. A seperate soundcard should be more than enough.
