Yeah I’ve heard about the SDR mod and I’m considering it. Is it easy to do? I wouldn’t mind getting deeper into it tho, I’m just scared of bricking them.

And luckily the earpads are currently in stock in Germany. I’ll get them as soon as I can.

I recommend waiting a long time before doing it, for "adjustment period" or what some other people might wrongly call "burn-in"... over time it seems one starts to understand the art and balance that went into them sculpting the signature just a certain way.

there's a thread on SBAF for the SDR mod; the guy who made it might still be selling mods kits.

i wouldn't say it's difficult; it's pretty easy imo

Apparently you can get the same effect with EQ so I don't really see a point in taking the risk to mod them

Yeah but the big plus with modding is that it will sound the same from every device. Which is relevant because I take them with me when making music and plug them into different interfaces and stuff. Having a baseline sound would be pretty cool. But yeah for now EQing does everything I want.
