Good recs thank you. Are all IEM devices around that price? ($300) They’re gorgeous earbuds but the price seems a little steep. Looking for a more affordable intro IEM.

Arias are 80% of the b2s and they’re only like $80 on Amazon. I would learn a little bit about frequency response and read about the Arias vs the Aria snow edition, both are great picks. I hear some people talk about the dunu titan s, idk much about it, but it’s in the same price range and I’ve heard it’s comparable. If that is also too steep or you just wanna test the waters first and see if it’s for you, you have a ton of $20 iems to pick from. The three that come to mind are: truthear holas - warm, the salnotes zeros - neutral, and the Moondrop chus - bright (roughly)

I’m really liking the look of the Shure SE215s actually. Are these popular at all in the community? Also, how do I know if cables will work with other IEMs? I don’t like the cable I’m seeing online but if I’m correct I can just buy a replacement?

I've had my shure se215's for about 20 years. They're $100 now and they were a $100 back then. They haven't aged well. Meaning there are waaaay better sounding iem's now for a fraction of the price.

You can get really great sounding iem's starting at $18. Have a search a around the sub and find out about all the recommended iem's. No need to go Blessing 2 for your first iem.

Have fun!

They used to be, and they’re still comfortable and it’s cool if you like how they look, but they’re now outclassed in terms of sound in the same price bracket to the point they aren’t really worth it. I believe most iems use a .78mm 2pin connector, so they would be interchangeable.

Lmao felt. One wallet tip i would have is if you’re gonna upgrade, upgrade big. better to go from $20 pair to $80 pair to $300 pair than $20 to $50 to $80 to $110 to $150 and on. I bought like 3 $20 pairs before I took the plunge and now I feel stupid for it

Is it worth dropping a couple hundred on some quality ones in the future? I’ve never been a very big audiophile. I own a 6 year old pair of Corsair void pros, and AirPod maxes so I clearly don’t have a refined taste lol.

Yeah definitely. I would start with the chus and if you really like em, I would just go straight to the blessing 2s. If you buy them on headphones.com, there’s a one year return policy so if you catch buyers remorse and want your money back it’s no problem. If you’d rather do headphones instead of iems, the most common recommendation for most people is the HD6XX. You can get them for like $200 on drop.com, totally worth it everyone loves them.

HD6XX looks nice especially since I’m sick of these awful cheap ass Corsair headphones. Do you have any recs for the cable type in the pic? Are certain cables higher quality than other or is it all based on design?

As long as the cable isn’t mega cheapo shit tier, it will sound the same. Lower quality cables may not feel or look as premium, but they’ll sound the same. The Blessing 2 cable is a different color, but it’s somewhat similar in its physical design, that one being braided and the blessing 2 one being kinda like a chain. If you really love that cable, look up the Moondrop aria snow edition. The cable isn’t the same texture, but it is white and clear. Then again, if you want exactly that cable, those earbuds are only $40. Most custom cables cost more than that

Edit: I am wrong. The kinera sif uses a mmcx cable not a .78mm 2 pin. Don’t trust strangers on the internet! They don’t always know everything! Do your own research!

I just realized, the tangzu wan’er is clear. And it’s only $20 on Amazon, and it sounds good.
