beats solo 3 mickey edition: personaly favourite travel headphones because they're just fun, and are impossible to leak any sound. are very small too. hifi it is not!
hifiman he400i: my first audiophile set of cans, was my first pair of headphones i bought after owning my m50x's for several years. really good planars for the price. rarely picking these up though to be honest. was a gateway drug of sorts though.
lcd 2: no clue what version this is but this was my first big purchase and i absolutely adore them, i need new pads though they are not thick enough and hurt my ears.
focal elegia: got these today after the big sale at addictedtoaudio, love these to death and are my new favourite headphones. super comfortable, fell in love with the tuning even if it is a bit mid forward.
grado sr60x: a bit too sharp for me, but with the dekoni pads, this is my gaming headphone of choice just because of how comfortable and lightweight they are. good for jazz too!
m50x: i've had this pair for years and they have a special place in my heart. been through the thick and thin with me, made me fall in love with music even more, even if now i can point out the flaws with them. i love my m50's and im tired of pretending that i dont.
sennheiser hd 600: love these, you don't need to hear me review them but yes they're super comfortable, and fit me the best out of any headphone i own, next to the elegia's. love these so much.
rode nth 100: love these cans, very comfortable if you can get them to fit right. i have not suffered any cc issues with my pair, so i love them! great for hip hop and rock, just super punchy.

Did you also try the clears at A2A sale?

I was considering getting a pair of closed backs and the elegia were tempting given how much I love the clears.

i havent actually visited an a2a store in person! all my headphones have been blind buys. the elegia's are my favourite headphones now, absolutely brilliant. from what i've heard they seem to just be the closed version of the clears

You prefer them over the audeze? And if they sound like the clears I could probably blind buy, but I need to get rid of some.

Honestly... I kinda do love these more than my lcd 2's. Way more comfortable anyway and sound is really just incredible to me

The HE400i is an excellent sandbox for modding ;-)

Man those red M50x were my first entry into the headphone world. Personally I just never found them comfortable enough to wear long term and mine were the older model I guess without the removeable cable so they were kind of a pain to go around with. Ended up getting rid of them fairly quickly but I really appreciated the build quality. The plastics felt really really solid.

My next pair were the discontinued and absolute trash HiFiman HE-300. These things were such trash. I bought them with some bundled amp that was also terrible. Really really bad headphones. Uncomfortable, poor quality, terrible cable, sounded bad. I'm now temped by the HE-400SE but I'm still doubting the build quality and other concerns.

Not sure if I'm gonna upgrade to the sr60x or the he400's. The he400's need alot of juice I heard and all I have is a cx1993 dongle. My current grados sing with that dongle, so I'll probably just stay with the grado sound.
