Submitted by International_Buy_87 t3_11yc4mg in headphones

I brought a 2nd hand Beyerdynamics DT770 yesterday, and now I found that in my left ear there is less sound and way less bass, I tried everything, like checking if there was any thread in drivers etc.

As I have a 2nd hand headphones, how can I repair them in India?

There are no stores near me, I got it parcelled from Mumbai,

What should I do?

Do they even repair without warrant?

if yes, How much will it cost?

The left headphone driver is probably dead then and repairing it would either be insanely difficult or impossible. I repaired a lot of Dt770s and 990s in the last years und while they are very repair-friendly, this case sounds like it's done.

Was it described as defective? If it arrived the way it is, you might be able to return it, but I obviously don't know where and under what circumstances you bought it.

I don't know much about the drivers, but it's just way less bass in the left side and right side is normal. Right now I am using a equalizer on my laptop to get equal bass out of my left side headphone, but I want a proper fix

I brought it 2nd hand from a guy in Mumbai and he is not accepting it back...

You can try to get a hand on a different defective headphone and salvage a working driver from there. But be very careful to get the right model. Beyerdynamic has a lot of drivers. Old Dt770 Pro drivers for example are not the same as new ones, even if they have the same impedance.

Yeah I will keep trying to find one, I called beyerdynamics India and they said if I parcel them my headphones, they will see through it and tell me the price of repairing, so that is also an option

Even if I write an email, I don't have any bill and any warranty on this so it will be worthless contacting them, and if the problem is in the driver it would be a expensive repair if I repair it from any local shop or something... I don't even know if any shop repairs these headphones

i am not able to find any replacement drivers on google in India... There are options in international market but buying from there would cost even more. 1 driver is like $70...
