Hi Guys! I really need help with this, since november I have owned two pair of IEMs, the Tripowin Lea and the 7hz Salnotes Zero, I swaped the Leas because they got a really, REALLY strong inbalance, at the point that I had to use them at 10% in one side and 100 in the other one, it was really uncomfortable, so I swaped to the zeros in early January, everything had been going fine, like, I dont even move my IEMs from my desk or anything like that, but today, I just started listening to them and they had exactly the same inbalance as my Leas, so idk if the problem is something with my setup that kills 'em, but I really dk what to do, and I wouldn't want to keep spending money on IEMs that way

They are connected to a 3.5mm extensor that plugs to the back of my PC

Maybe it is your amp which has channel imbalance. Try listening to them on something else and see if the problem persists.

I've seen 1/4 inch to 3.5mm converters cause issues like this. Have you tried without the 3.5mm extension? Try some other source than your PC?

Missed your other post saying you have done this. Do you have a small child that could have put a popcorn kernel in your ear? This happened to a coworker of mine and it took him years to figure it out.

If its not a source issue and always the same side. You should check the nozzles and make sure oneside isn't holding an ooze of earwax.

It's a little hard to describe because I don't produce that much and when I do earwax in my nozzles its more of like a rocky crystal rather than a soft goop. But I know people can have that issue with buds and IEM's. Could be one ear is over producing it and is muffling the audio on one side.

If they're IEMs, it's possible that one of their filters is clogged. This caused an imbalance on my Etymotics a couple years ago, and I fixed it in about a minute by replacing the filter. You aren't putting these in right after showering, by any chance?

could be, my left ear produces more wax, but i clean the IEMs regularly and it doesnt look like it has nothing in the nozzle

Idk actually…Etys have got a special tool, but I don't know much in the way of filters on IEMs. I'm not sure they're always interchangeable, actually…
